All levels of government (Local Council, State Government and Federal Government) play an integral part in sport in Australia. Each level of government provides a great deal of support both financially and through their connections in the community.
Each sports club or association must foster a strong relationship with these levels of government at all times. Some organisations get burnt big time as they feel that it’s only necessary to develop a relationship when funding or grant applications are announced or when an election is called.
At MDS Sports Consultancy, we are well connected with all levels of government across New South Wales. Our philosophy is quite simply to develop a strong long term relationship with all levels of government and to understand and appreciate what that particular Council, Member of Parliament or Government are looking for in a community group.
Our Managing Director at MDS Sports Consultancy has had extensive experience in government relations. He has worked for a Sydney local council; state, national and local sporting associations; and has extensive experience in volunteering for local sporting associations.
